April...

13 weeks - Our first 3D picture of the munchkin!
We got very lucky and had an awesome ultrasound tech
who gave us this great shot!
Head, ears, neck, arms, ribs, legs and feet!

Bird legs. =)

Over the last two weeks we have traveled to Kansas, Las Vegas and Texas.

We first took a week off of work and flew back to Kansas to see and spend some time with Brandon's family.  We had a great time all except for me being extremely sick the whole trip... I later figured out this was partly due to the fact I had the flu and not just morning/day/evening sickness. Not fun.

While visiting Gary, Shareen and the kids in Wichita we were surprised at dinner one night when we walked in and saw almost all of Brandon's family from Russell sitting at the table inside the restaurant! What a great surprise! But it got even better when we went back to the hotel to spend some time with them.  They once again surprised us with an awesome surprise BABY SHOWER! Thank you to each and everyone of them for their thoughtfulness and for all of the gifts. We absolutely loved it and will never forget it.

While in Kansas we took a trip to Lawrence, KS. Brandon wanted to show me KU's campus and Allen Fieldhouse (the basketball arena). We had a great time and of course, had to pick up some KU gear for baby. It's already a Jayhawk fan and doesn't even know it!

On the way the way back to Wichita we took a detour and stayed a night in Kansas City in a nice hotel near The Plaza. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling to well at the time so we didn't get to do a whole lot.

Once we returned back home to Phoenix, three days later we hit the road again but this time we went our separate ways... Brandon met his best friend, Jason in Las Vegas for a couple of nights so I thought it would be a great opportunity to visit Whitney and Blaykleigh, Jason's wife and 11 month old daughter. Brandon enjoyed his time with Jason playing golf and gambling. I had a great time hanging out with Whitney and babysitting cute little Blaykleigh when Whitney had school in the evenings.

 Blaykleigh

That's most of the month of April in a nutshell for the Hainke's!
Can't wait to find out the sex of the baby in the next couple weeks!

BOY or GIRL?
Take a guess at the top of the page!

12 Weeks

Happy Easter!

We've made it to 12 weeks! The baby is now the size of a peach and about 3 inches long. Things are going well and it seems like the afternoon/evening/night sickness is beginning to lighten up.  I have figured out that in order to keep the sickness to a minimum I have to eat every 2-3 hours.  I'm hoping that in the next few weeks it will begin to go away. Fingers are crossed.

Two weeks ago we had an appointment with our new doctor.  Brandon and I both absolutely loved her.  She was very nice and personable, but more importantly very informative.  She took the time to sit down with us and explain things.  She is a huge Oregon fan and being that Brandon is a diehard KU fan they had plenty to talk about. Overall, we are glad we made the switch and are looking forward to going through the pregnancy with her as our doctor.

10 Weeks
At our 10 week appointment we finally got to see our little munchkin MOVE! The second she started the ultrasound the baby was waving it's arms and legs like crazy, moving all over! I told Brandon to hurry and get his phone out and the second he did the baby stopped.  I guess it's still a little camera shy.  I'm bummed we didn't catch it on video but super excited we got to see it for the few seconds we did.

Looking forward to: Finding out what we are having!

Every holiday Carli and I get our goddaughters Emma and Kaylee gift baskets. Both girls were very excited about their baskets.  Carli, by the way, is expecting a BOY!
This Thursday we are going back to Kansas for a week to visit family and friends. We are both excited to see everyone and are looking forward to spending some time back there.  Our next appointment will be on May 3rd.
